Soma has not been tested on pregnant women so it is generally recommended that women who are pregnant or nursing do not take Soma. The effects on an unborn child have not yet been determined or testes. Soma is a very powerful and effective drug and it should therefore be taken with caution. Because Soma is so effective at blocking pain and bringing on relief as a result of a muscle spasm, there are also some side effects that come along with taking Soma. The most common side effect of Soma is dizziness. Many people who take Soma feel dizzy when they stand up from a sitting position or if they move about too quickly. Extreme cases of dizziness may result in vertigo which will cause a person to have severe anxiety because they will not be able to properly function.
Another dangerous side effect of Soma is agitation and irritability. Because the drug is very powerful and it affects nerve endings and muscles, many people have experienced aggressive behavior while taking this drug.
